Description:

A Crown Vic set churns out a lot of fragmented noises and odd sounds which are incorporated with the music. But the band isn't generally looked at as being experimental. Crown Vic is more of a modernized clangy, clumpy "garage band" from the days before that phrase was coined. It's almost like a weird echo. A CV song is the last version and the first version simultaneously. Weird.

Band History:

Guitarist Jim Willingham, a jovial local with a head full of great ideas and ideals, played through the late '90's in Harry Carey. Drummer Laura Morgan, a hard hitter with a cool, stiff style, banged around on the kit the last few years with angular noisemakers Le Guano. Bassist Stephen Miko dived into the Athens scene just a few years ago after spending time honing his taste up in North Carolina. These three started messing around with old post-punk standards and original song ideas just six month ago.

Lineup:

Jim Willingham: guitar, vocals
Laura Morgan: drums, vocals
Stephen Miko: bass, vocals

Press:

Willingham calls their raw sound "rhythmic and noisy...a bass-driven sort of thing that goes along with Joy Division, The Fall, and The Buzzcocks." Its worth a look and listen.
